The SSA room block currently has availability only on Sunday and Monday nights, and it is expected to sell out soon. A limited number of rooms remain at the hotel’s standard rates—and those may sell out soon as well. If you are not staying at the Breakers in the SSA room block and wish to attend the Banquet Dinner on Tuesday, December 8th, then, when registering, an additional ticket of $300 per person must be added for you and any spouse/partner/non-physician guest. Although you will be provided with a link to check for any last-minute openings at The Breakers over your dates after you register:

  • You may view a list of alternative hotels by clicking here. Please note that the SSA does not have contracted rates with these hotels.
  • You may also search for nearby hotels by clicking here. The search returns properties with the following filters: hotels/resorts with availability for a Saturday December 5th arrival and Wednesday December 9th departure; a four-star or above class rating; reviews of very good or better; and within five miles of The Breakers, all sorted by distance. Search filters may be adjusted to alter the dates of your stay, include three-star properties, reduce the radius, etc. The SSA is providing this search link as a helpful tool; it is not endorsing any particular property nor suggesting that rooms be reserved through third parties rather than directly with the hotels.

Hotel Reservation/Cancellation Policy:

  • 1-night room deposit (excluding taxes) is required at time of reservation.
  • 3-day cancellation policy. If a reservation is cancelled within 3 days of arrival, the full deposit will be forfeited (non-refundable).
  • If a reservation is reduced in length of the stay within the cancellation period, a penalty fee applies.
  • All reservations require a valid credit card and picture identification at time of check in.
  • Failure to check-in on scheduled arrival date will automatically cancel the remainder of the reservation and forfeit received deposit.
Important Notes:
  • The displayed room rates exclude the compulsory Modified American Meal Plan (MAP); the MAP fee of $244 per person, per day (inclusive of gratuity) will be authorized to your credit card at check-in and finalized and charged at checkout. The daily MAP covers breakfast in the Circle and dinner at Breakers dining outlets, as well as standard non-alcoholic beverages at both those meals. The MAP also includes the Tuesday evening banquet. Lunches are not included. Please enter accurate room occupancy and modify accordingly as this affects the final total room charge.
  • Room rates are subject to any applicable taxes, applicable service fees, and/or hotel-specific fees in effect at the time of the meeting.
  • If attendees choose to stay outside of the SSA room block on Tuesday night, December 8th, the cost to attend the Presidential Banquet Dinner and Dance that Tuesday evening is $300 per person and should be paid in advance.
